In order to provide balanced, healthy meals of the highest quality possible, using ingredients from sustainable and traceable sources, we have a full-time nursery chef at each of our premises.
All of our Nursery Chefs and kitchen staff are fully qualified to meet the latest food preparation, food hygiene and food safety measures. Each of our Chefs commits to regular refresher courses to ensure they’re constantly producing the best meals possible for our children.
By using just a small selection of hand-picked food suppliers we can trace every ingredient used in our meals and snacks from its original source to the children’s plates.
We’re dedicated to providing healthy and wholesome meals to every child which is why we have a small, nutritional buying list with each supplier. This way we can ensure that every ingredient meets British buying standards, has been thoroughly checked for suitability and most importantly, is sustainable.
Environmental Health Officers, employed by local councils across the UK, are trained in the latest food safety, hygiene and management procedures. They’re deployed every six months to two years to conduct random inspections on any companies serving food on their premises.
Following each inspection, a star rating between 1 and 5 is awarded, with five being the highest rating available.
The Nurseries were recently inspected and were awarded a 5 star rating.
